Field History Tracking is helpful to your business or organization as it provides you with a useful audit trail for reviewing or troubleshooting past changes. All changes are displayed in the Objects History Related list and the data is kept for 18 months. Salesforce also allows you to track up to 20 fields for both standard or custom objects.
