Winchester 94 collectors will generally seek out pre 1964 made rifles. Why is that? There were differences in manufacturing and quality after 1965. What is the easiest way to tell if the Winchester 94 is a pre or post 1964? Look at the Alignment of two screws on the receiver’s right side. If its prefectly verticle, its a post 1964. If they are diagonal, it is a pre 64.
