Opening of the hard water season 2023-2024
Bait: Bloodworm + Semolina + Garlic cracker
Opened the new season from the Farmer side.
Fishing with an overnight stay. Arrived on Saturday at 13-00, left on Sunday also at 13-00.
👉 Weather conditions during this fishing:
the temperature jumped very much (on Friday it was quite frosty, and already on the weekend -2-4 and almost around 0);
the pressure was low and also jumped from 730 to 740 mm Hg;
the moon - a full moon is ahead;
there was almost no wind - it was very comfortable to look for crucian carp;
ice about 10-15 cm (different in different parts of the reservoir).
I agreed with the guys (Sanya and Lekha) for this fishing trip that I would come on Saturday, and they would come on Friday.
Their search on Friday was unsuccessful, unfortunately, we didn’t even see a bite.
As a result, we call each other on Saturday, discuss tactics.
Upon arrival at the farmer’s parking lot, I go out and walk along an arc to the agreed meeting place.
The guys dismantled the tent and are walking towards me - and they are also looking for crucian carp.
We drill, we search, silence. They drilled more than 200 holes in two days.
We meet as the sun set. After the discussion, we decide to stop at the only point where there was active movement of crucian carp, judging by the echo sounder.
We set up tents around 18-00 (Sanya and I are in one, and Leha is in the other).
And at 18-25 Sanya catches his first crucian carp. It is the opening of the 2023-2024 season.
And then, everyone caught their own crucian carp. We decide to celebrate this event and fry shashlik.
Before midnight, everyone caught 2-3 pieces. And sleep overcame the fishermen.
I was already fighting drowsiness - I decided to stay awake until the morning, which brought results.
About 20 unrealized bites. The crucian carp takes and throws. Many idle floats.
👉 By morning, our catch was:
Sanya - 3 crucian carp, Leha - 6 crucian carp, I have 12 crucian carp.
The crucian carp are 470-480 grams.
Most of the fish were caught on the bottom hook - a phosphorus jig.
After 7-00 the bites stopped completely. So after 10-00 we decided to pack up and go home.
