Grigory Benevich - Byzantine Culture 1
Grigory Isaakovich Benevich is a PhD candidate in cultural studies and a contemporary Russian scholar specializing in Byzantine studies, patrology, church history, Russian philosophy, and cultural studies.
During the Soviet era, he actively participated in unofficial culture and published in samizdat. More recently, he has contributed to the journals Neva, Zvezda, NLO, and others. He is the author of numerous works on patristics.
He is a leading research fellow, head of the department, and director of the Byzantine Philosophy specialization program at the Russian Academy of Arts (RAH).
