Write the Dang Cover Letter! My answer to this is always yes, with one exception.
If the company specifically tells you NOT to write a cover letter, then don’t write a cover letter. Show them that you can follow directions.
But outside of a company telling you not to write one, you should always write one. Because if you write a quality cover letter, it gives you an opportunity to tell more of your story and relate your experience and strengths back to the company.
Look, they may read it they may not. But wouldn’t you feel better knowing that you gave it your best shot by submitting a quality cover letter?
