Hello, this is a video showing some core concepts of MBAACC. Originally I made this video because it was tiresome teaching these concepts to each player 1 by 1; so it existed so people can watch and apply these concepts, then i could then help them further on an individual level. If you are new to Melty I recommend just playing the game for a week or two, then make the decision if you want to devote an hour of your time listening and watching this video. Feel free to find me and ask me questions.
While most of this is universal, there will be characters that play outside these guidelines (ehem.....Hime), or maybe have certain nuances that don't allow certain options (not every character has a surefire j7 button for air to air for example), make sure to lab your own characters options thoroughly ! Please also understand that this isn't the entire game, other important fighting game concepts also matter, i just showed what is "melty specific" basics, although many of these concepts do exist in other air dash type fighters.
also understand melty blood neutral is always about flow. mostly in melty your movement is going to be your saving grace. let it flow and the positions may eventually lead to a more advantageous situation that is more easily capitalized on.
Don't trust anyone that says they watched this video if all they talk about is IAD back. you only watched the first 5 minutes....its just a readjustment idea, its not the end all be all for winning neutral. its just usually better than backdashing when the game is in a neutral state. If you are a Lumina player, this concept is probably also useless, in that game backward movement is intentionally slower.
