Shocking footage shows donkey being pulled by a rope behind a moving car.
Gardaí are investigating an incident of animal cruelty after a donkey was tied to a car and dragged by its feet along a roadside.
The incident took place in Co Offaly this afternoon and the disturbing footage has emerged on social media.
It shows the animal, which was tied by its head with rope to the back of a silver car, being pulled along a grassy verge that is partially covered in frost.
