Bombur, the most corpulent of the thirteen dwarves in Thorin Oakenshield's company, was known for his hearty appetite and jovial nature. Though his size often slowed the group and required extra assistance, his spirit and resilience never wavered as they journeyed to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug. Bombur’s loyalty to his companions was unquestionable, and despite the challenges he faced, he played his part in the epic quest to restore the lost kingdom of Erebor.
After the fierce and decisive Battle of the Five Armies, where Thorin Oakenshield met his tragic end, Bombur, alongside the surviving members of the company, found a new home within the halls of the Lonely Mountain. As the kingdom of Erebor was rebuilt under the rule of King Dáin Ironfoot, Bombur's life took a peaceful turn. He settled comfortably in the restored kingdom, where he could indulge in his love of food and drink, surrounded by the wealth and prosperity that had returned to his people. Though his adventuring days were behind him, Bombur lived out his remaining years in contentment, his heart forever tied to the memories of the quest and the friendships forged along the way.
