India is situated in the continent of Asia. It lies completely in the Northern hemisphere and Eastern hemisphere between latitudes 84′ N and 37°6'N and longitudes 68°7′ E and 97°25′ E. India is divided by Tropic of Cancer 23°30′ N in almost two equal parts.The land mass of India has an area of 3.28 million (3.28 lakh) square km; which comprises about 2.4% of the total geographical area of the world. India is the seventh largest country in the world. The land boundary of India is 15,200 km. It is seventh largest country of the world.India is divided into 28 States (further subdivided into districts) and 8 union territories including the National capital territory (I.e., Delhi).To the southeast and southwest of the mainland, lie the Andaman and Nicobar islands and the Lakshadweep islands in Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea respectively. In this video we will cover:
