JS Maya — New Ship in Modern Warships
The JS Maya is the lead ship of its class of guided missile destroyers in the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. Launched in 2018, it inherited the name of a WW2 era heavy cruiser. The name commemorates Mount Maya and Budda’s mother.
