Trying to save up every pennie for when the baby comes she struggles between being a teen and thinking like a mother. Just as she thought things couldn't get worse her boyfriend ends up leaving. After reassuring her that he is doing it for the both of them she can do nothing but watch him leave.
When her best friend eventually finds out she is pregnant she is shocked and disappointed. She gives her an ultimatum. She will move back home and help with the baby but only if she promises to finish her education. After all, she couldn't watch her best friend go through this alone.
