What's new in Playwright v1.40
In this video, we explore the new feature introduced in release 1.40. The test generator has had a massive improvement. Before you could generate your tests and had to manually write your assertions but now you can generate assertions while generating your test.
The feature comes with 3 possible assertions that you can generate, 'toBeVisible', 'toContainText' and 'toHaveValue'. 'toContainText' comes with an editable box so you can modify the value before accepting the assertion. As well as the assertions you can also use the pick locator tool to easily find any locator on the page.
