Spectators were confused when athletes began falling just before the finish line. At first, it seemed they were simply exhausted after the long distance. But then, one after another, the triathletes stumbled in the same spot, and it became clear that fatigue wasn't the issue. As it later turned out, a small bump, hidden under the surface a few meters before the finish line, was hidden on the cameras.
