BOLETUS EDULIS: Cep, Cep Blanc, Mushroom, White Mushroom, Pumpkin Bolete, Pardillo Bolete, Onddo Zuri, Udazkeneko, Andoa Madeirudo, cogordo, corvall blanc, funghi, funghi porcini, penny bun boletus
Section: Dapetes. Cap up to 6 cm in diameter, convex to slightly depressed in the center. Cuticle poorly zoned, with shades ranging from salmon to pale pink. Gills adnate, with lamellulae, orange with greenish spots. Stipe short, hollow, concolorous with the cap. Flesh firm, dense, orange with greenish reflections. Latex orange, turning green when dry. Taste somewhat acrid.
Common Mistakes
The L. DELICIOSUS (saffron milk cap) does not have such ochre tones, its orange latex does not turn green when drying, and it does not have a pungent taste.
