Ableton Live 10 Tutorial - Convert any chord progression into a melody and extract the MIDI!
In this quick tip video, Nikos walks you through how to use the arpeggiator MIDI effect to produce a melody out of any chord progression. However, he takes it a step further and demonstrates how you can extract the MIDI output of the arpeggiator, and record it into a new MIDI track, so that it can be edited to your hearts content. This makes it very easy to utilise the arpeggiator as a tool which helps you come up with a basis for a melody, but gives you the tools to easily be able to manipulate and edit the resulting arpeggiator melody. It's an extremely powerful tool you should put to use!
