Now, let me tell you more about Microsoft hour of code. Microsoft hour of code is a series of lectures, courses and talks by experts, who are going to discuss the latest Microsoft technologies, topics related to programming and industry forecasts that are all focused on employability.
Today, we are going to learn the C# fundamentals. This is a beginner's course for people pursuing computer science.
These episodes have everything you need to upgrade your skills. These courses are not only beneficial for students, but also for working people. If you are working in an IT firm, and wish for promotion, these courses can do a lot for you. If you are certified in C, java, C++, SQL etc. you can get a definite increment in your salary from 6% to 20%.
As you know, today, we are going to learn C# fundamentals. This content has been created by our partner Microsoft. We have Bob Tabor from Microsoft with us, who will help you learn fundamentals of C#.
But, before we start, you need to have a computer system with a 64 bit processor or a 32 bit processor, a windows notepad, and any web browser such as internet explorer.
If you want to learn a different programming language, C# is a great place to start. Tune in to learn the basics of the C# language, and learn to apply them in your programming endeavours, like video games, mobile environments, and client apps.

Creating your first C# program
Understanding your first C# program and

And the topics we are going to cover in this episode are:
1) Understanding data types and variables in which we will add C# syntax to your vocabulary by exploring fundamental building blocks: data types and variables. We will learn about basic topics such as naming conventions and data type conversions.
2) The if decision statement in which we will get an introduction to the if decision statement, along with the conditional operator. Find out how to refactor code to make it more compact and less likely to produce errors.
