Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs), also known as chronic diseases, are a significant health concern. These conditions are typically long-lasting and develop gradually, often with multifactorial causes. The most prevalent types of NCDs include cardiovascular diseases (such as hypertension and coronary artery disease), diabetes mellitus, chronic respiratory diseases (like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma), and various forms of cancer.

Lifestyle factors, including unhealthy diets, lack of physical activity, tobacco use, and excessive alcohol consumption, play a critical role in the development and progression of NCDs. Managing NCDs requires a multifaceted approach, involving early detection, lifestyle interventions, and pharmacological treatment.
