Last night began with a surprise massive attack in Ukraine. Russian forces launched hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles at energy and military infrastructure. Day and night merged in Ukraine's largest cities, and pillars of flame obscured the sky.
Among the targets hit were several thermal power plants and substations in Kyiv, Zaporizhia, and Dnipropetrovsk. Power outages were also reported in Odesa, Poltava, and Kharkiv.
A major attack was carried out in Kyiv. Fires were reported at three of the city's largest thermal power plants, which supply the capital's military industry.
