Diamond Girl Isha Ambani
At her brother’s third engagement, Isha Ambani showed off her outrageous looks.
Manish Malhotra turned her into a goddess by custom-stitching an emerald and silver lehenga encrusted with Swarovski crystals, which looked absolutely fantastic when paired with diamonds and emeralds!
Daniel Roseberry, the creative director of Schiaparelli, also created an Indian sari for Isha for the first time in his practice. The elegant combination of blue and silver made the look very expensive. Although, perhaps, it was the tikka on Isha’s forehead in the form of a 15-carat diamond, which costs over a million dollars, that made it expensive.
Isha also made an impression in a coral lehenga by Falguni and Shane Peacock. It took about 160,000 Swarovski crystals and multi-colored gemstones to embroider the skirt, with a special emphasis on the emerald-colored stones. The katje blouse is embroidered with pearls.
"For our culture, everything is terribly vulgar. Looking at these rich people, you might think that precious stones are not as rare as they seem," sigh the Indians.
