Prineo Wound Dressing after Excision of Skin Cancer
For some excisions, Dr. Rosing will use all internal sutures that hold the skin edges together from the inside. In these cases, a mesh and glue medical device named Prineo can be used to approximate the surface of the wound. Prineo is made by Johnson & Johnson and combines a non dissolving mesh with Dermabond. The dressing is waterproof and remains in place protecting the wound for up to three weeks.
