Apologies for the occasional crackling noise in the video - this is from Diva as I only have the demo version. The motivation for this comparison is that first and foremost, I agree with most users in that Diva sounds amazing. It is my favourite soft-synth and I love the attention to detail and the detailed manual. Having presets, voice stacking / panning and the classic-synth templates are super useful, and it is great to be able to combine various filers with different oscillator types. IMO it sounds noticeably better running at 32 bit / 96k and this is the session setting used in this video. Whilst not an exact replacement for a modular analog mono synth like the mother 32, I would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the filters and LFO modulation in a blind test. Obviously, the tactile feedback and ‘playability’ is not the same as using hardware, especially something with the build quality of the mother 32, however these ‘advantages’ are interchangeable with other ‘advantages’ of Diva ie portability, presets, polyphony, it will never require tuning / repair etc.
