In this tutorial i'll show how to set up and use a procedural camera shake blueprint in Unreal Engine. This applies to both Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal Engine 5!
We can add a camera shake effect to your cameras using Unreal Engine's Camera Shake Blueprints. This guide provides an overview of how to create a CameraShakeBase Blueprint, the type of shakes that are available, and how to play them in Sequencer, Blueprints, and Camera Shake Sources.

Creating a camera shake effect in Unreal Engine 5 involves using the CameraShake blueprint class. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you achieve this:

Create a CameraShake Blueprint:

In the Content Browser, right-click and choose "Blueprint Class."
Select "CameraShake" as the parent class.
Name your blueprint (e.g., MyCameraShake).
Edit the CameraShake Blueprint:

Open your new blueprint.
Inside the EventGraph, you can use nodes to control the shake parameters.
Add Shake Parameters:

Drag off the EventGraph and search for "Add Camera Shake."
Connect it to an event that triggers the shake (e.g., when a specific action occurs).
Set the "Shake Class" to the CameraShake blueprint you created.
Adjust Shake Parameters:

Click on the CameraShake node to see its details.
You can tweak parameters like Duration, Oscillation Duration, and Amplitude to control the intensity and duration of the shake.
You can also use different types of oscillations (rotational, translational) for varied effects.
Trigger the Camera Shake:

You can trigger the camera shake in various ways, such as when a specific event occurs, a button is pressed, or a timeline is played.
For example, you can add the "Add Camera Shake" node to the event graph of a character or the level blueprint.
Test the Camera Shake:

Play the level or simulate the game to see the camera shake in action.
