Seng Samla Seng Khasi (Kmie) in partnership with Royal Wahingdoh F.C is proud to announce the staging of "Pashat La Tynrai" A Festival of Folk Music, Fashion, Food, Arts & Crafts on the 26th & 27th July, 2013 at U Soso Tham Auditorium & Compound, State Central Library, Shillong.
This program is supported by Arts and Culture, Gov of Meghalaya and I.C.C.R

The first day of the Festival (26th July) will kick off with an afternoon of Folk Music & Fashion starting at 4:00 pm. Special discounted tickets will be available for invited Schools and Educational Institutions with an aim to expose and popularize Khasi Jaintia folk music to a younger audience.

The second day of the fest will begin with the Food Festival and Crafts exhibition which will start at 11:00 am. A total of 10 food stalls will be set up which will be serving different treats of mouthwatering local delicacies. Stalls for Arts & Crafts exhibitions will also be set up which will feature traditional dresses, ornaments, fabric, traditional musical instruments etc.

The festival will end with an evening of Folk Music & Fashion, starting at 5:00 pm, which will feature over 30 Independent and prominent Local Music Artist and dancers on stage. Two scintillating rounds of traditional fashion will ensure that audiences enjoy a mix bag of visual treats while swaying to the traditional beats of Khasi-Jaintia folk as well as modern folk music which are unique to the people of our state.
Folk music performance will feature:
Seng Samla Seng Khasi (Kmie), H.T.C.W.O, Sien Raij, Summersalt, Robert Maring Abigale Shylla, Melvin Mukhim, Silverstar Mukhim, Evalarie Khyriem and many more.
This program is held in celebration of the Seng Samla Seng Khasi (Kmie) Golden Jubilee Celebration.
