Inside a Live Industrial Edge AI Demo
At Embedded World 2026, Synaptics' partner, Arcturus, showcases an on-prem agentic AI interface running natively on the Synaptics SL2610, illustrating how Edge LLMs can deliver real industrial value without cloud dependency.
The demo integrates with fleet-management APIs to support structured data queries. It can also access logs, records, and documentation directly within the local environment. A machine-operator dashboard provides guided access to the agent through generated prompts, event-driven response workflows, and a curated set of predefined queries, all via a touchscreen interface running on the SL2610.
This on-prem approach highlights key advantages over cloud-based alternatives, including stronger data privacy, reduced operational costs, and high availability, especially for closed or air-gapped systems, where critical data is distributed across equipment lines and proprietary manufacturing workflows.
