From 2003 into the mid-to-late 2000's, FOX Sports Net worked with Ty Towriss' NLX Broadcast Design to make network IDs and promos using green screen footage of on-air talent from their local, regional and national shows, as well as athletes, coaches, mascots and cheerleaders for local and regional properties, such as FSN's many MLB, NBA, and NHL teams, as well as their NCAA conferences.
Alongside the generic promo tool-kit rolled out in 2003, this style of ID became a key part of FSN's on-air brand identity, with a massive proliferation in 2004 with the launch of the then-new FSN 2004 logo system and FOX Sports handing out their tool-kits to the individual regional networks after years of consolidating production of RSN promos and IDs to their national base of operations in Los Angeles.
When FSN's partnership with NLX ended, they were no longer able to mass-produce IDs with green screen footage, and thus resorted to using still cutout images.
These are only some of the many IDs FSN produced with NLX, along with some menus for the now-defunct FSN Arizona. There is no voice over in these versions of the IDs.
