We present this prototype of an experimental antenna, a homemade shortwave radio antenna. A good option for making a homemade antenna on a budget. Since many radio receivers don't have a connector for an external or dipole antenna, the solution is to connect it to the existing antenna terminal on the receiver, which is quite small. This homemade radio antenna, a shortwave antenna, primarily requires: 12-gauge stranded wire (a little over 3.4 meters), PVC pipe, adhesive tape, and coaxial TV cable. The main element is 1.28 meters long, the coil is 8 cm in diameter, and has 28 turns. This homemade HF antenna can be used indoors and outdoors.
It's also important to keep in mind that radio stations don't transmit continuously; they have schedules, and signal propagation can vary at different times of day. Weather conditions also affect signal quality, as does interference.
