Installing Windows 11 on VMware..
Install VMware: If you haven't already, download and install VMware Workstation or VMware Player on your computer.
Create a New Virtual Machine:
Open VMware Workstation or VMware Player.
Click on "File" and select "New Virtual Machine" to start the New Virtual Machine Wizard.
Select Typical Configuration:
In the wizard, select "Typical (recommended)" and click "Next."
Choose the Installation Type:
Select "I will install the operating system later" and click "Next."
Select Guest Operating System:
Choose "Windows" as the guest operating system.
For the version, select "Windows 10 x64" (as of my last knowledge update in September 2021, Windows 11 wasn't officially listed, but Windows 10 settings should work for Windows 11).
Name the Virtual Machine:
Enter a name for your virtual machine and choose a location to save it. Click "Next."
Specify Disk Capacity:
Choose the disk size you want for your virtual machine. A minimum of 40-60 GB is recommended for Windows 11. You can select "Store virtual disk as a single file" for better performance. Click "Next."
Customize Hardware (Optional):
You can customize the virtual hardware settings, such as the number of CPU cores, RAM, and graphics memory, based on your computer's capabilities. Adjust these settings according to your system's resources. Click "Finish" when you're done.
Edit Virtual Machine Settings (Optional):
Before starting the virtual machine, you can further customize its settings by right-clicking on the virtual machine in the VMware interface and selecting "Settings." Here, you can modify things like the number of processors, RAM allocation, and display settings.
Start the Virtual Machine:
Select your virtual machine from the list and click "Power On This Virtual Machine." VMware will prompt you to connect the virtual CD/DVD drive to an ISO file. Browse and select the Windows 11 ISO file you downloaded earlier.
Install Windows 11:
Boot the virtual machine from the Windows 11 ISO.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows 11. You'll need to enter your product key (if required), select the language, time, and currency preferences, and choose a partition to install Windows 11.
Complete Setup:
Continue with the Windows setup process, including creating a user account and configuring settings.
Install VMware Tools (Optional):
After Windows 11 is installed, you can install VMware Tools for better integration and performance. In the VMware menu, go to "VM" "Install VMware Tools" and follow the prompts.
Update and Activate Windows:
Once Windows 11 is installed, make sure to activate it using a valid product key and perform Windows Updates to ensure your system is up-to-date and secure.
