I really like to create prototypes for all kinds of games. Those usually involve terrains and vegetation. However, I don't want to spawn Biomes over and over manually for each new prototype. So I thought it might be benefitial for me and also you guys to have a Biome Spawner. Over the Holidays I worked on my Vegetation Studio Pro Extensions and added a Biome Spawner. It all started with rectangular partitioning, however I thought to add an option to create Voronoi Diagram based shapes would be better. Yeah, and while I was at it I also added Hexagons just for fun.
What you see in the video is a beta version and it shows the functionality. You can create Biomes automatically and you can resize them and move them around to your liking as usual, after you spawned them. It's basically a starting point for your terrain population.
Feel free to download and use it. But please backup your project first and be aware that this is beta and things might change. For one I think it might be a tad too complex in usability and I should reduce the feature set. But then again I like to keep it flexible for others. We'll see how it turns out.
ps: The terrain colorization is only to show the multi-tile-terrain capability. If you follow the steps with Meadow Environment like I did in the video, you should hit the "Generate biome splatmaps" button after you created the Biomes when you're done.
