Is everything relative? The invariant interval
Starting with a concrete example, we discuss the possibility that different inertial observers can "see" events in different temporal order. This leads to a reflection on the principle of causality between events and the construction of a relationship between the coordinates of two events called an invariant interval. The value of this interval allows us to identify which events may be linked by cause-effect relationships.
