Fixing Network Latency and Reducing Bufferbloat (WANT MORE WINS!?) / Hey guys. I imagine you're on this never ending crusade to reduce lag or fix lag either on your PC or on your network right? How do you get a more consistent game play experience?
Many network companies still use old algorithms such as CODEL from the 2000s on today's routers. That might help with your upload and download speeds but when it comes to gaming, not a lot of data is used.
You may be able to get around this but for some - there's still a problem. But wait, have you ever heard of OpenWRT? I will discuss this briefly and how I use better network algorithm called cake.
