As far as I remember, before the pandemic, flights from Bandung to Makassar and vice versa were served by Lion Air, but then the route was closed, leaving no other airlines operating. Direct flights on this route. Now that the pandemic situation has improved significantly, Super Air Jet, which happens to be part of the same group as Lion Air, the Lion Group, has launched scheduled direct flights to satisfy passengers' longing for direct flights on this route.
This Super Air Jet flight from Bandung to Makassar is actually a transit flight on its main route from Batam to Makassar, much like my previous experience with the same airline when flying from Bandung to Medan, which was also a transit flight on its main route, Bali to Medan.
This flight was launched on March 17, 2023, and this time I had the opportunity to try the Bandung-Makassar route. The flight takes approximately 2 hours, with a scheduled departure from Bandung at around 9:50 a.m. Western Indonesian Time and a planned arrival in Makassar at around 1:10 p.m. Central Indonesian Time. Considering my previous experiences with Super Air Jet have been positive, will I have a similar experience this time?
