7. Misconceptions around meditation
8. Dancing/ synchronized motion and its effects on brain activity
Dr. Marieke van Vugt is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Engineering (ALICE) in University of Groningen (Netherlands). Her research focuses on cognitive operations and neural processes involved in making decisions, and on how our decisions are affected by mind-wandering and meditation. She builds computational models of meditation and mind-wandering to better understand why, how, and when we get distracted. She is also a semi-professional classical ballet dancer.
