What's up, Houston sports fans! It's your boy Corey, and tonight we're back in action, mixing and mastering a track for one of my clients. If you've been following me, you know I've been on the move lately, but I’m finally back in the studio, ready to get down to business! 🎧🎶
In this video, I’m diving into a Pro Tools mixing session, walking you through my process of mixing and mastering a song for an artist named H Lee (the unofficial track title is "Tell Me," but that could change). I'll take you step-by-step from setting up the session, tweaking the vocals, working with the beat, and handling my gear setup (with all the headaches that come with it).
You'll see me use my favorite plugins, including CLA, Waves EQ, and more, while I demonstrate how I bring the vocals and track to life. I’ll also be discussing some of the techniques I use when working with two-track beats, how I control harmonics, and how I fine-tune vocals to get them to pop. Plus, I'll show you how I use tools like the Expander, Deesser, and Compressor to clean up and enhance the vocals.
Expect to hear some raw vocals, watch me adjust settings, and listen in as I make the track come together. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced engineer, you’ll definitely pick up some tips that can improve your workflow!
