Four wanderers search for the Last Ruin, a city said to hold an artifact that will fulfill the heart's deepest desires. Lost love, redemption, acceptance, and family reunification fuel their journey, but can they overcome their greed and inner demons along the way?
In Near and Far, you and up to three friends explore a variety of maps in search of the Last Ruin, recruiting adventurers, searching for treasure, and competing to be the most legendary traveler. You must scavenge for food and equipment in the city for long journeys through mysterious places, not forgetting enough weapons to fight bandits, living statues, and rusty robots! Sometimes, during your travels, you encounter something unique, and one of your friends will read it to you from a storybook, giving you a choice of how to respond, creating a new and memorable tale each time you play.
Near and Far is a sequel to Above and Below, featuring an encounter book. This time, players read over ten play sessions to reach the end of the story. Each chapter takes place on a completely new map with unique art and adventures.
