Doors of Opportunity - Tom Skerritt
Treehouse, which was founded by social workers in 1988, gives youth in foster care a childhood and a future. The Seattle-based nonprofit serves more than 7,500 youth in Washington, providing clothing, financial assistance, holiday gifts and academic support. Its flagship Graduation Success program has increased the extended graduation rate for youth in the program to 89 percent and exceeded a five-year goal for youth in care across King County to graduate at the same rate as their peers. The organization set an ambitious new goal to match that success statewide by 2022.
