WILD ANIMAL BREAK-INS!
Help! There’s a Tiger in the house.
Yeah... Sometimes wild animals wander a little far from their natural habitats and get inspired to
crash our digs.
But even as there has been an increase in nightly Goldilocks-type break-ins by wildlife, not all
experiences are terrifying.
Often, when wildlife decides to enter the human territory, they’re simply looking to explore the
neighborhood, or perhaps have a taste of that pot roast and they’ll be on their merry way.
As such, some instances of wildlife break-ins are funny, really, more than they are scary.
But, if you still wish, you can go ahead and call the wildlife removal guy.
Hello dear viewer and welcome to yet another interesting episode of 100m, where we’ll look at 10
craziest wild animal break-ins!
#10. Drowsy Little Fox
After a weekend away, a St. Albans, Herts couple was looking forward to sleeping in their bed. But later
that night, the wife found herself in her own personal nightmare when she woke up to find her husband
missing and a fox sleeping on the throw pillows, she had put on their bedroom bench.
The little fox was so cozy to notice the woman getting out of the bed and running downstairs to find her
husband.
Fortunately, the husband saw that it was only a pup and was able to pacify his wife. Heck, they even had
time to take a photo before the young crafty fox woke up.
Attempts to shoo it away were futile, but they did manage to coax it down the stairs and out of their
house.
It had probably spied the house for a spot to take a nap while the couple was away on vacation, and
managed to get into their house through their pet door --which they no longer had use for, by the way.
#9. Badger ‘Bugler’
If there’s one thing you can take away from this list, it’s that having a cat door doesn’t necessarily mean
that only Cuddles will have easy access home.
And, if you’re going to leave a Bakewell tart as well, now that’s like opening all the doors and windows
to your home and then going on vacation – at least for one badger ‘burglar’.
The cheeky badger popped into Geoff Taylor’s home in Midhurst, West Sussex in the wee hours of the
night. Not long after, it was raiding his fridge and helped itself to some frozen pastry before it was
caught on video.
Uh, the hungry thing didn’t realize it had an audience as it was munching down its midnight feast; a
Bakewell tart.
Immediately it spotted the owner of the home, phone camera rolling, it made a sharp exit the same way
it made its way into the house, through the catflap.
Up next. Not all animals prefer to get in through the pet flap. Leave the bathroom window open and
you’ll have a faulty faucet situation to deal with.
#8. Fowl-ty Faucet?
A Rhodes island homeowner returned home to find an uninvited guest in her bathroom. It was a thirsty
wild turkey, that had flown through the bathroom window.
Now, you’ll be forgiven for questioning whether a harmless turkey posed any risk at all, but this
particular turkey did more damage than she could hope to repay come thanksgiving!
Alright, let's back up a little.
So the Rhodes Island homeowner returns home from work and finds water seeping through her garage
ceiling. She initially assumes that a pipe had burst upstairs – but upon checking, she discovers that a
thirsty wild turkey had crashed through her bathroom window, turned the faucet on to have a sip, and
probably forgot to turn it back off, or it just didn’t know how!
The house was flooded, with thousands of dollars estimated in water damage.
Still, think seemingly wild birds are incapable of fowl-play?
#7. Hello Cockatoo
If you guys were impressed with the cockatoo busting a move on our previous episode (you know, the
one listing crazy animal incidents), then you’ll be thrilled with this cheeky cockatoo bursting through
Sydney homes.
At first, the bold birdy was seen breaking into one Nicole Inkley’s home to steal some nuts. She gave him
a few cashews and hoped that she would not see him again after he flew away.
Still, she was not surprised to see him trying to break in again a few days later. But this time, the sassy
cockatoo said something…I believe it was a “Hello.”
You really should hear for yourself just how forbearing his lowly voice came out; it’s certainly to tug at
the heartstrings!
#6. Raccoon Robbers
Police had to chase around these two masked bandits when they somehow worked their way into a
closed Redwood City Bank one Tuesday morning last year.
The duo rascals were said to have left a bit of damage around the offices, helping themselves to some
cookies, but didn’t make off with any money.
