What initially was a use case for using Blender in a frame-by-frame workflow became a study of different fields. The initial idea was to use a 3D model to help with the head turn at a low angle. We still did that but thought, "Why not add a background?" "What if the setting was in the Philippines?" So we added messy power lines and telephone lines into the background. It's a common thing to see here in the Philippines. And we added two jeepneys, which were made in Blender. And to make the scene more authentic, we went outside and recorded the sound of a busy street. Now, it looks like a Filipino short film, so why not add VO? Please don't judge our voice, as we're not professional voice actors 🫣 So we added a bit of story. Maya is the girl's name, and her crush recognizes and calls her name. We Filipinos usually respond with a "Ha?" 😂 Is this true for all Filipinos? 😅 Or is it only us, Bisayas? 😂 So that's what we did. Someone called her, and she responded with a "ha?" We added some romantic music to hint that this is some sort of love story. The composition uses a rule of thirds, and for the values, we made sure that the character is the one with the most contrast, making you look towards the character. The diagonal lines of the powerlines also help your eyes look toward the subject.
