This error code occurs when there’s a problem with the ink cartridges.
The following are some of the causes of the error:
⦁ Wrong or damaged ink cartridge.
⦁ The printer doesn’t recognize one of the ink cartridges.
Now, let’s look at the best solutions to fix the error:
Reset the printer
⦁ Unplug the printer’s power cord while it’s still on.
⦁ Wait 60 seconds and then click the power button five times. Ensure the power code is unplugged while doing this.
⦁ Plug the cord back to the power source and switch on the printer.
Resetting may help the printer recognize the cartridge and fix error code 1485.
Check the ink cartridge.
⦁ First, confirm that you have both the color and black cartridges installed properly. Even if you're only printing back and white, both cartridges need to be installed.
⦁ Confirm that the codes on the cartridges are compatible with the printer.
⦁ For the color cartridge, the codes include CL-546, CL-541, CL-546XL or CL-541XL.
⦁ For the black cartridge, the codes include PG-540XL, PG-540, PG-545l and PG-545XL.
⦁ Refer to your printer's paperwork to learn which cartridge codes are compatible with your printer.
