How To Record In Camtasia - Complete Beginner's Guide
Before you can edit a video you need to capture some footage. In this tutorial I will demonstrate how to use the built in Camtasia recording tool. We'll explore the Camtasia software interface, highlighting toolbar options to start a new recording or create a new project. Learn how to record screen directly within Camtasia.
We will start by looking as setting up your preferences. I always suggest changing the file names from automatic to prompt for selection. This will make your recording and editing process smoother because you can choose your own file names.
Then we will go over the recording tool interface so you can learn how to record your full screen, choose a region, etc. We will look at recording a camera, microphone and system audio.
The Camtasia recording tool captures a screen recording, camera, and audio separately so that when it comes time to edit you can change one part of the recording without destroying things you want to keep.
