BLAME! is a cult classic manga from 1997 written and drawn by Tsutomu Nihei. It follows Killy in his traversal of an absolutely enormous megastructure in the hope of finding a human being with a special gene. In this video I’ll go into what makes this manga so absolutely fascinating 30 years later, and how those elements might be translated in other media, specifically videogames (Metal Garden, NaissanceE, Lorn’s Lure).
