Diablo II 1.14c / Starcraft BroodWar Crash Fixes, Graphics Fixes
greetings youtube, oragami1337 here with another fix for Diablo II and StarCraft Broodwar.
Are you one of the many gamers who has tried to revisit Blizzards classic games only to suffer from graphical errors
or the game simply crashing at the load screen? I have a VERY Simple fix for you today.
For some reason it seems the classic games have problems with windows 7 file permissions and file infastructure.
To remedy this I will provide a few easy steps to follow
1 install diablo II on your normal account
2 now click start open your control panel find the user accounts and family safety image.
3 Click Add or remove user accounts
4 click Create new account located here
5 type a name for the account and SELECT ADMINISTRATOR
6 either log out of your current account or click switch users
7 Find diablo on your new admin account and run it without errors!
There is a way to improve your graphics slightly and remedy other errors
visit http://www.svenswrapper.de/english/ and download the newest version. Place the files in your diablo II folder
right click your diablo II shortcut go to properties
add the parameter -3dfx in the properties of the D2 shortcut.
