Bystanders - Don't be a Gawker
"Bystanders", a short film sponsored by Sparkasse Osnabrück, is a film project in cooperation with the volunteer fire brigade Osnabrück, Bürgerverein Wüste e.V. and the filmmakers Elena Walter and Emanuel Zander-Fusillo from Blickfänger GbR.

The film is supposed to bring attention to bystanders in emergency situations, and to be a call on everyone not to be a gawker.
Three young adults drive by a fatal accident. They get out of their car, walk closer to the accident and take pictures, which they post on the internet. Incited by the reactions they get even closer to the accident to take even more spectacular images. What starts as a harmless game quickly turns into a voyeuristic act that ends up hindering the emergency workers.
