Visiting Sitka Alaska | Exploring the Port on an Alaska Cruise
Our Alaska cruise brings us to Sitka, Alaska, and this video captures a full Sitka port day both on land and back onboard. If you are planning an Alaska cruise stop in Sitka, this vlog shows what you can realistically fit into a day while balancing exploring town with enjoying ship activities.
We start the day exploring Sitka, wandering through downtown and taking in the relaxed coastal atmosphere. We visit the Sitka Sound Science Center and aquarium to learn more about local marine life, followed by a scenic walk through Sitka National Historical Park where we see totem poles and salmon swimming upstream. Along the coastline, we also spot wild seals and soak up the natural beauty that makes Sitka such a memorable Alaska port.
Back onboard Quantum of the Seas, the adventure continues with some of the ship’s most fun activities, including the skydiving simulator and roller skating. This mix of port exploring and onboard experiences shows how Sitka fits perfectly into an Alaska cruise itinerary.
If you are researching things to do in Sitka on an Alaska cruise or want to see how a port day flows on Quantum of the Seas, this video gives a realistic look at both the destination and ship life.
