A couple of weeks ago I showed a way to append an existing rig into another scene in Blender. In this video, I show an improved workflow using collections rather than appending the individual objects.
"Append" is Blender's term for importing assets (meshes, rigs, curves, etc.) from one blend file into another. When assets are imported like that, they become a full copy that can be edited independently from the original.
This is different from "Link..." which creates a reference to an asset from another file. When the original is edited, the changes propagate to all linked references. This can be very useful and I'll cover Linking in another video in the near future.
