Please note that this works on Apple phones too, but I don't own one so... just follow the instructions it's pretty similar as far as I've seen around.
Why should you do this?
Maybe you want to stream, communicate, or film something and you need a webcam. Instead of spending 20-40$ for a crappy webcam, that has a crappy microphone you can just use your phone. Most of the time your phone will output a better image than a cheap webcam.
What I'm showing in the video, I'm using whenever I record something using OBS Studio or Skype. But to be fair, it probably works in almost any application.

Both applications require you to install their app on the phone and on your PC. After that, you need to connect your phone to your PC and you have two variants: using a USB cable, or via Wireless.
For the USB method to work, you must activate Developer mode and activate USB debugging mode (small guide on doing that in the video, you basically go to Settings - About Phone and tap Build Number 7 times. Then you go back to Settings - Developer Options and activate USB Debug mode.
For the Wireless method (my favorite) to work, both your PC and your phone must be connected to the same router/modem. It doesn't matter if the PC is using a cable connection, it still works. So it's a great solution for desktop PC's.
