In this episode, we spoke with Namık Ekin, the legendary commando of the Turkish Armed Forces, national Judo team coach, and hero of countless operations, about his military service, shaped not only by physical endurance but also by conscience, trauma, and the struggle to remain human. Namık Ekin emphasized the rigorous and disciplined nature of the training, saying, "SAT training doesn't create a soldier, it creates a war machine."
He recounted his experiences during the training, how he survived for three days in a sewer with a manhole cover closed, the challenges of Hell Week, and his struggle for survival with snakes, worms, and lizards.
He also recounted the operations, where he faced death, and the warrior spirit he cultivated since childhood, comparing his pre- and post-SAT experience. He emphasized that SAT training is based on science and a robust program designed to train a soldier. He explained the success of this program through his own experiences.
