How to get 74% disability benefits?
Why is it important to have a 74% disability rating, and above all, how do you obtain a 74% disability rating?
But first, how do you read a disability report?
NOT DISABLED
If the report states "no pathology" or "a reduction in working capacity of less than 1/3."
DISABILITY GREATER THAN 1/3
If the report states "disabled with permanent reduction in working capacity of more than 1/3" (Article 2, Law 118/1971), this means that the calculated disability ranges from 30% to 73%. In this case, you are not entitled to a monthly assistance allowance.
PARTIAL DISABILITY
The third case is partial disability, with the wording "disabled with permanent reduction in working capacity of more than 2/3" (Articles 2 and 13, Law 118/1971). In this case, the disability ranges from 74% to 99%, and you can apply for the monthly assistance allowance recognized for partially disabled people. The amount of this allowance varies from year to year, but for 2020, it is €286.81 per month.
