LTC4311 Allows I2C Over 100 Foot Ethernet
Yow, this active terminator is really amazing, I'm able to run a 100 KHz I2C connection over a 100 foot CAT 5 cable we had lying around the house. The active terminator tends to the SDA and SCL pins, making them into nice square waves, solving a common engineering problem where folks want the convenience of I2C but the cable-length of 1 Wire.
