How to measure your head for a hat
3 ways to measure your head:
You'll need 1 of the following a cloth soft tape measure OR a piece of string and a ruler.
1. THE SUGGESTED METHOD:
The best way to measure your head is with a partner.
Have your partner place the soft tape, around the top ⅓ of your head (just loose enough to fit across your forehead).
2. MEASURING ALONE:
Sit on a chair facing a mirror.
Using a soft tape starting at the middle of your forehead measure the circumference of your head, slightly above the ears (where you want your hat to sit).
3. THE LAST RESORT:
If you don't have a partner or a soft measuring tape DON'T WORRY!
You can STILL measure your head accurately. With a twine (or string without elastic) sit on a chair facing a mirror and starting at the middle of your forehead measure the circumference of your head, slightly above the ears.Mark where your size ended on the string. Then measure the string length against a ruler.
