Depending on individual taste and habits, monotone background sounds help with relaxing, concentration or with falling asleep.
Among the most common is the crackling of a fireplace radiating a quiet, warm home, another one is the sound of light rain, sometimes heavy rain, the mellow sound of a little river or something similar.
